The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released an important public notice dated May 22, 2026, concerning NEET (UG) 2026 candidates. In a significant development, the agency has activated a dedicated refund submission facility on the official NEET registration portal, enabling candidates to provide their bank account details for the processing of examination fee refunds.

According to the notification, this newly introduced system has been seamlessly integrated within the NEET (UG) 2026 candidate login interface. Registered applicants can now access the refund link directly by logging into the official portal using their credentials. This move is aimed at streamlining the refund process, ensuring transparency, and reducing delays in disbursement.

The NTA clarified that this step is in continuation of its earlier notice dated May 12, 2026. Candidates who are eligible for refunds are required to complete the submission process within a strictly defined time window. The facility became operational on May 22, 2026, and will remain accessible until May 27, 2026, up to 11:50 PM. Candidates are advised to adhere to this deadline, as no extensions have been indicated by the agency.

The process requires candidates to carefully enter accurate bank account details, as refunds will be processed directly through electronic transfer. Any discrepancies in the provided information may result in delays or failure of the transaction. The NTA has emphasized the importance of verifying all details before final submission.

In addition, the agency has issued a clear advisory cautioning candidates against initiating chargeback requests through banks or payment gateways for the examination fee. Such actions may interfere with the official refund mechanism and could lead to complications in processing.

This development reflects a broader effort by examination authorities to incorporate digital solutions into administrative processes, enhancing efficiency and candidate convenience. As NEET remains one of the most competitive and widely attempted entrance examinations in India, timely communication and structured processes continue to play a crucial role in maintaining order and trust within the system.

Candidates are encouraged to regularly monitor the official NEET portal for further updates, including examination schedules, eligibility clarifications, and additional procedural guidelines related to NEET UG 2026.
